Lisa met my young 4 year old, somewhat naughty mare at my farm and said she could help me. Little did I know, the journey this would be. Keline went to Lisa’s and I have been amazed of the transformation of what my mare has become. Under the tutelage of Lisa and LCH Equestrian, Keline has thrived. From the excellent nutrition program, horsemanship, and the variety of learning opportunities, Keline has become an upper-level willing partner, with a great work ethic!
Lisa is the consummate professional in making sure all of her clients receive the utmost care in all aspects of equine training. Lisa’s attention to detail is unsurpassed!!
Oh, and let me add, she treats you as an equal partner in the training process! Lisa is kind, patient, and her sense of humor is the cherry on top!!
Lisa’s way of teaching with joy and passion, and her ability to break things down so you understand, has helped me to improve my riding, therefore, my relationship with Keline. With just the right amount of encouragement and support, Lisa brings out the best in your horse and you! We were very lucky to find her!!

Lisa is a phenomenal coach and trainer and has been instrumental in the development of both me and my horses for many years. Her knowledge and professionalism is top notch, as is her ability to bring adult amateurs and young horses successfully through the levels. I just love her!

Lisa is an incredibly talented horse trainer and instructor. Her attention to detail, dedication, and patience create a productive learning environment, where she not only helps you to improve your riding technique, but also your training ability. Lisa has not only helped me to improve my own riding on my Grand Prix horse, she has taught me invaluable skills to apply as I teach my former event horse how to dance. Lisa’s emphasis on cross-training ensures that you and your horse will be well-rounded, and you will have fun in the process. I cannot thank Lisa enough for all she has taught me on how to be a good horse person.

I began riding with Lisa in 2018. Almost immediately, I knew that I planned to stay with her as my riding instructor for years to come. I appreciated that she took the time to get to know both myself and my quirky horse before designing a personalized training plan. Lisa’s positive influence provided me the right amount of forward push tempered with kindness, patience, and understanding. Her experience shown through in her teaching style; this included wonderful analogies and hints that were helpful and relevant. I am happy to have found an instructor like Lisa; she is the consummate professional.
It is my pleasure to write a testimonial for LCH Equestrian and for Lisa Hellmer as the owner and head coach. My daughter, a para equestrian with international aspirations, started working with Lisa a couple of years ago in hopes to gain the understanding and training necessary to pursue her competitive dreams. What we discovered at LCH Equestrian was much more than that. Yes, Lisa has the expertise to take a rider to the heights of her equestrian ability, but the part that we are most impressed with is the attention to detail and practical application of her extensive horse knowledge. As a graduate Pony Clubber, Lisa has incorporated the Gold Standard of knowledge into her everyday routine, making every detail from horse management, barn organization and cross training principles to make the entire culture of the barn one of safety and confidence. Her professionalism, kindness and competence is exceptional. We are so grateful to be part of the LCH Equestrian family.
