About Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn is the corner stone of LCH Equestrian and works as our barn manager. Her smile and upbeat attitude is contagious! She not only shows great attention to detail, she treats our horses with love and compassion. We (and our horses) are so fortunate to have her in our program!

Kaitlyn ‘s grandpa raced thoroughbreds at Fairmount Park in Illinois and she was at the barn before she was walking. Horses were immediately a huge part of her life and she had fallen in love. After High School she was accepted to Murray State University in Kentucky. Here she earned a bachelors degree in Equine Science with a Biology minor.

After graduating university she was accepted at Kentucky Equine Research. At KER she began working with horses on a high speed treadmills, then transitioning them to a training track. She was in the heart of racehorse country working with the top equine research company. This is where she fell in love with Moosey and Pork Chop, her two thoroughbreds. She ended up adopting them both from the KER program and they came to Ocala with her.

After her time at KER, Kaitlyn made her way to next big racehorse part of the country, Ocala Florida. She began working at Whisper Hill Farm. During her time there she was responsible for the care of their annual thoroughbred yearlings, prepping them for the sales. This was a full encompassing job dealing with young and spirited thoroughbreds.

Kaitlyn started working at LCH Equestrian part time, and before long she fell in love with our dressage horses. She jumped right into the position of barn manager and hasn’t looked back since. All her experience prepared her for a change into the show world with us, and we have converted yet another horsewoman into a dressage queen.
