Spectra Equine offers a selection of supportive nutritional products for the equine athlete. We have incorporated several of their products into our program and seen immediate results.
Respion has worked great for Aniko, who struggles with a constant cough in the summer months. Respion suppresses his cough, provides anti-viral and anti-bacterial support, contains potassium iodide which works as an expectorant and it is FEI/USEF legal. Keeping my horses comfortable is my primary goal and this helps keep Aniko breathing well and performing at his best.
We have also added Mega-Calm and Epicoat to our program. Mega-calm has helped my young KWPN, Dale, tremendously. He is a bit of a worried type and gets tight mentally and physically. Since adding this supplement I can feel he is more settled and less tense which helps so much in the training process. He hasn’t lost any of his sparkle, he just feels more comfortable in his own skin. We use epicoat for both Dale and Aniko currently. Both of them had developed skin allergies from the flies, primarily under their belly. This left them with raw, itchy spots. Adding epicoat to their feeding program has eliminated that completely. Their skin isn’t irritated, the hair has grown back and they have a more natural shine again. I highly recommend this product for any horse who has skin issues, dull coat or brittle hair.
